Halloween craft ideas for kids
Planning on throwing a party this Halloween for the kids? Or just looking for some Halloween crafts? Well look no further as here are a few ideas you can try at home!
Halloween bats
You'll need:
- Toilet roll tube
- Black paint
- Card
- Bat wing stencil
- Tipp-Ex
Spooky tea light holders
You'll need:
- Jar or candle holder
- Scissors
- Tissue paper
- Paint brush
- Mod-Podge or PVA glue
Halloween lollipop stick puppets

You'll need:
- Lollipop sticks
- Paint for the sticks
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pen
Instructions:
- Paint sticks whatever colour you would like
- Begin to assemble the stick characters:
Frankenstein : glue the googly eyes in place. Using the black marker, add the stitches and hair.
Pumpkin: use the black marker to draw on a pumpkin face and finish off by gluing a small piece of green pipe cleaner to the top of the stick.
Mummy: wrap the stick in white pipe cleaners to look like wrappings. Add a pair of googly eyes so it is peeking out of the dressings.
Halloween finger puppets

You'll need:
- Paper/felt
- Glue
- Scissors
- Googly eyes
Instructions:
- Draw the shape of your Halloween character onto a sheet of paper/felt using a pencil
- Cut out the shape and place it onto the same colour sheet of paper/felt and draw around the shape. Cut this shape out so you have two identical shapes
- Place a small amount of glue around the edge of one of the shapes, making sure that you do not put any glue at the bottom of the shapes as this is where the finger needs to go
- Place the other shape on top of the glued shape, press down and leave to dry
- Decorate your puppet with cut out pieces of coloured pape/feltr and stick down with glue. You could also add googly eyes to your puppet
Paper Jack O'Lanterns


You'll need:
- 2 sheets of orange A4 sized paper
- Black paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- String
Instructions:
- Fold the orange paper like an accordion, then fold in half and tie with string
- Glue the two halves together
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to create two halves
- Tie the two halves together and glue them to create one big circle
- Using the black paper cut out some facial features to make the face
- Glue the black cut outs on to the orange circle to create the full pumpkin effect
