Ofsted Registered Camps
All of our camps are registered with Ofsted, the official body for inspecting schools and childcare providers in the UK. This means our operations are independently reviewed and held to the highest standards. Our consistent track record of meeting and exceeding expectations in inspections is a testament to the quality and care that define the Barracudas experience.
Exceptional Staff You Can Trust
We go above and beyond in hiring and training the very best staff. Every team member undergoes enhanced DBS checks before they step foot in a camp. Before each season begins, staff complete a robust assessment and training programme to ensure they are fully prepared to deliver a safe, enriching, and enjoyable experience for every child.
Our teams also include specially qualified professionals, including:
- Early Years Managers for our youngest campers
- First aid trained staff at every camp
- Specialist activity leaders trained in safety and instruction for inflatables, archery, motorsports, and more
- Qualified lifeguards for all swimming sessions
On top of this, our camps are supported by seasoned Area Managers who make regular visits throughout the holiday to make sure things are running smoothly. And, of course, always regular communication with our experienced Head Office team who are always on hand.

In 2020, we led the way in introducing contactless registration and collection procedures—the first to do so at school holiday camps. Our digital systems not only provide greater convenience for parents but also offer a safer, more secure way to manage the drop-off and pick-up process. Continued tech developments ensure these systems remain efficient and effective, offering confidence and ease to families year after year.
Information Systems That Support Wellbeing
Safety starts with preparation. We use detailed booker forms to ensure we have all the information needed to provide tailored care for each child:
- Essential Information Forms covering key personal details
- Medical Forms for any health concerns or ongoing needs
- Anaphylaxis forms to make sure we're fully informed and ready
- In the unlikely event of an incident, our robust accident reporting system ensures transparency and thorough follow-up

Before any camp opens—and throughout each season—our teams carry out comprehensive risk assessments. Every area, activity, and process is reviewed to ensure they meet strict safety protocols.
