4P’s for Covid-19 secure camps
Your kid’s safety at camp is Barracudas main priority. Once we know that everything’s in place to ensure their protection, we can get on with what we do best; giving them such an amazing experience that they can’t wait to come back.
We know that the current pandemic has particular concerns for parents and we can reassure you that our activity camps will be a Covid-19 secure environment for your children. We’re looking forward to welcoming your child to camp in 2021!
Here are our 4 P’s for keeping kids safe at camp
Planning
- Reduced number of places at camp
- Max 15 children per group (Max 24 for Early Years)
- Programme adjustments ensuring Covid appropriate activities
Premises
- Covid-19 risk assessments and extra signage
- Staggered entry/exit, social distanced queuing and one-way systems
- Isolation area should a child/staff member fall ill at camp
Processes
- Extra hand washing and sanitising throughout the day
- Extra daily cleaning of facilities and equipment
- A Covid-19 Officer at each site to assist with new operational processes
People
- Confirm no symptoms/quarantine restrictions on entry
- Parents to wear face masks when entering the site and speaking to staff
- PPE for staff when greeting parents and administering First Aid
