This age group love all that's on offer at Barracudas holiday camp. With increasing confidence, ability and individuality, they have so many opportunities to grow at camp.
Our supportive staff help guide them as they develop skills and independence whilst they're with us.
Please note: 10 year old children may be placed in either a 8-10 year or 10-14 year group, depending on the age make up of the camp.
It's a fantastic age for these kids to be at activity day camps. They have all the enthusiasm of the younger groups but longer attention spans, so sessions with this group are all about safe learning through FUN. At this age there's a growing awareness of teamwork and the children are more independent. Although they like to pretend that they are pretty cool and relaxed, the fact is that they're raring to go and full of energy. The supportive staff are able to harness the children's energy to develop their confidence and social development.
Whilst encouraging more independence with this age group, staff will still deliver top quality childcare and ensure each individual child's welfare is kept a priority with reminders of hygiene routines, keeping hydrated, sun protection and healthy eating.
Maximum group size of 32 children with a staff:child ratio of 1:13.
There are 6 sessions per day at Barracudas, with a choice of activities for each one. Timetables are carefully considered and offer a balance for each session throughout the day and over the full week.
There are over 80 activities available at each venue, so there is something for everyone. Activities range from popular sports to creative arts and team building games. We also offer motorsports and archery at all venues plus water based activities. Where we have a pool children will swim throughout the course of the week. Our sites without pools are complimented with inflatable water parks. All venues also offer an aquaslide in the summer to cool off on those hot days.
Activities are designed to suit the developmental stage of each age group. Children are grouped with their peers so they can enjoy activities suitable for their age in a safe and fun environment.
